From November 24-25, 2018, the National Finals of the 1st China College Students’‘Energy · Intelligence · Future’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Qingdao, Shandong Province. The theme of this competition was “innovation, Green, Intelligence and the Future”.
The competition attracted 1,978 entries that were focused on the development concept of “Innovation, Coordination, Green, Open and Sharing”, and attracted 8,135 students from 269 colleges and universities, includingT singhua University, Peking University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In total, 220 entries were selected for competing in the finals, and 4 special prizes, 10 first prizes, 60 second prizes and several third prizes were awarded to the competitors.
Eight teams from XJTU entered the finals, and won one special prize, one first prize, one second prize, and five third prizes. The team guided by Professor Zeng Min from the School of Energy and Power Engineering won the special prize for their work “A New High-efficiency Shell and Tube Type Heat Exchanger”. The team, under the guidance of CAS member Professor Tao Wenquan, with students from the School of Energy and Power Engineering and the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, won first prize with their work “Cloud Computing Platform for Modern Industrial Simulation Analysis”.
